Where?
In the Democratic Republic of Congo, the first free elections in 40 years recently took place. On last 29 October, Joseph Kabila, son of Laurent, whom in 1997 was in office until the thirty-year dictatorship of Mobuto, prevailed in elections over Jean-Pierre Bemba. The country has still not overcome the enormous internal divisions and the civil war continues to claim thousands of victims. The economy has been destroyed for years due to the continuous internal conflicts while the education system and the health system have worked thanks only to humanitarian aid.
The project will be done in the small village of Sakania, situated four hours by car from the second city of the country, Lubumbashi.

What?
The project intends to finance the purchase of bricks required for the construction of some locales for a maternity school in the small village of Sakania.
More precisely, the objective is to construct three classrooms (for children of three, four, and five years of age), a managing and coordinating office, a room adept for use as an infirmary and a hall for use as a library.

For who?
The beneficiaries will all be children from the village that will be able to attend the maternity school and build a base to begin their training. The school will represent, also, an important social centre and point of entertainment for the children.
