The requests from young people who desire to carry out voluntary service are welcomed and they should make themselves aware of the conditions for participation, and of the destinations:

Stages:

1. personal contact with the volunteer (often initiated with correspondence through the internet)

2. orientation meetings to get to know VIDES and what is the request to carry out voluntary service

3. the invitation to participate in a path of formation within the local groups.
In the case where a local group does not exist the point of reference will be the international head office.

4. in both cases it is necessary to secure an accompaniment at the personal and group levels

5. the request to carry out voluntary service at the local level (it is also possible to complete this through the voluntary service camps)

6. formation at a distance through the guidelines sent from the international head office

7. formation days on specific themes, also to help the departing group get to know each other

8. contacts with volunteers that have completed voluntary service in the country in which one is preparing to serve

9. evaluations along with the voluntary service of the completed formation path

10. intensive course/program

11. accompaniment during the period of voluntary servuce

12. assistence during re-entry and reinsertion into one's own territory
