Nei giorni 2 e 3 febbraio il VIDES United Kingdom ha avuto l'Assemblea Generale elettiva.
Il nuovo Presidente è Helen Mc Donald.
Sono partiti con due nuovi progetti:
uno inizierà ad ottobre con un weekend di formazione per i volontari che hanno bisogno di maggiore approfondimento;
l'altro inizierà in una scuola secondaria di Liverpool, per un gruppo di volontari VIDES.

…just a little update this summer VIDES UK will be running:
• Birmingham Camp: 21st - 30th July 2006 (22 Volunteers)
• Barrhead Camp: 4th August - 13th August 2006 (24 Volunteers)
• VIDES Africa Project 7th - 28th August 2006 (7 Volunteers)
We also have two volunteers (Sarah Williams & Sandra Collier) doing a month placement in Dar-es-sallam in Tanzania from mid July - August 2006. VIDES UK continues to go well and grow and grow! We have just reviewed and re-structured our Volunteers Abroad Team to incorporate Small Group Projects Abroad. So this is a whole new area of development and very exciting! …

We have a group of six volunteers and myself going out to Africa on 7th August for 3 weeks! We will join with 40 Kenyan volunteers!! It is wonderful there will be two projects running in Nairobi - Dagoretti & Mutuini! We have our third and final training weekend for it in two weeks!
