Civil Society Development Forum 2007
“Una piattaforma per lo sviluppo: conto alla rovescia per il 2015”
E’ con grande piacere che vi invitiamo – sotto il patrocinio della Conferenza delle ONG in Status Consultivo con le Nazioni Unite (CONGO) – a partecipare al Civil Society Development Forum 2007 - “Una piattaforma per lo sviluppo: conto alla rovescia per il 2015”. Il Forum vuole mettere in luce il ruolo cruciale degli obiettivi di sviluppo internazionalmente concordati per perseguire una strategia di sviluppo globale orientata ai risultati e la necessità di un assestamento dello sviluppo delle realizzazioni e degli sforzi comunitari nel raggiungere questi obiettivi. Il Forum avrà luogo dal 28 al 30 giugno 2007 al Centro Internazionale di Conferenze a Ginevra (Centre International de Conférences Genève [CICG]).
Il Civil Society Development Forum 2007 dovrebbe fissare un record di inclusività mai registrato prima. Ciò dovrebbe aiutare a presentare forme di iniziative di sviluppo già esistenti, poche delle quali sono “gestite e guidate” dalla società civile. È possibile un’inversione di questa tendenza attraverso il perseguimento di un approccio inverso, che coinvolga un largo numero di partecipanti di qualsiasi estrazione sociale.

"A Platform for Development: Countdown to 2015"
It is with great pleasure that we invite you - on behalf of the Conference of NGOs in Consultative Relationship with the United Nations (CONGO) - to participate in the Civil Society Development Forum 2007 - "A Platform for Development: Countdown to 2015". The Forum is to highlight (i) the crucial role of the internationally agreed development goals in the pursuit of a results-oriented global development strategy and (ii) the need for an assessment of the development community's efforts and achievements, so far, in meeting these goals. The Forum will be held from 28 to 30 June 2007 at the International Conference Centre in Geneva (Centre International de Conférences Genève [CICG]).
The Civil Society Development Forum 2007 is expected to set an unprecedented record of inclusiveness. It is to help mainstream already existing development initiatives, few of which are genuinely "owned and driven" by civil society. A reversal of this pattern is possible through the pursuit of a flexible bottom-up approach, involving a large number of participants from all walks of life.
