"Stand Up Against Poverty, Stand Up for the Millennium Development Goals" (Prendere posizione contro la povertà, agire per gli Obbiettivi di Sviluppo del Millennio)
L’iniziativa "Stand Up Against Poverty, Stand Up for the Millennium Development Goals" è una sfida mondiale per stabilire un record mondiale di mobilizzazione del maggiorl numero di persone per prendere posizione contro la povertà e per gli obbiettivi di Sviluppo del Millennio durante 24 ore.
Sotto il controllo del Guinness World Records la sfida STAND UP si svolgerà dalle ore 10.00am (GMT) del 15 Ottobre alle ore 10.00am (GMT) del 16 Ottobre. Durante questo periodo la Campagna del Millennio delle Nazioni Unite unirà le sue forze a quelle dei vari partner di tutto il mondo incluso il GCAP, Make Poverty History, sindacati dei lavoratori, gruppi di fede, governi locali, gruppi di giovani, Parlamentari, associazioni sportive, media ed altri attori chiave per mobilizzare centinaia di persone per prendere posizione contro la povertà .

"Stand Up Against Poverty, Stand Up for the Millennium Development Goals"
The "Stand Up Against Poverty, Stand Up for the Millennium Development Goals" initiative is a global challenge to set a world record by mobilizing the most number of people to physically and intentionally stand up against poverty and for the Millennium Development Goals in a 24 hour period (disabled people can take a stand in the most appropriate way).
Monitored by Guinness World Records the STAND UP challenge will take place between 10.00am (GMT) 15 October to 10.00am (GMT) 16 October. During this time the UN Millennium Campaign will join forces with a wide range of partners across the world including GCAP, Make Poverty History, trade unions, faith based groups, local governments, youth groups, Parliamentarians, sporting associations, media and other key actors to mobilize thousands of people to stand up and read out a pledge to show solidarity for ending poverty by 2015.
