Nuova iniziativa dell’UNICEF permette ai bambini del mondo di condividere storie online
I giovani di tutto il mondo potranno registrare e condividere le loro storie online in diverse lingue grazie al nuovo progetto lanciato oggi dal Fondo per i Bambini delle Nazioni Unite (UNICEF), dal gigante tecnologico Google e dall’organizzazione senza scopo di lucro Un Laptop per Bambino.
I bambini potranno registrare storie su di loro, sulle loro famiglie e amici nella loro lingua usando i computer, i telefonini ed altri accessori per registrare. Le storie possono essere condivise attraverso il sito web “le nostre storie” – www.ourstories.org – dove possono essere trovate su una Mappa di Google.
Rendendo queste storie accessibili in tutto il mondo, il progetto Our Stories cerca di promuovere la comprensione tra diversi paesi, culture, tradizioni religiose e lingue, secondo gli organizzatori.
Elliot Schrage, Vicepresidente delle Comunicazioni Globali ed Affari Pubblici per Google, ha avvallato il nuovo progetto, che spera “non solo incoraggerà un miglioramento delle storie raccontate ma anche un miglior ascolto delle storie.”

New UNICEF initiative enables children around the world to share stories online
Young people from around the world will be able to record and share their stories online in various languages thanks to a new project launched today by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), technology giant Google and the non-profit organization One Laptop per Child.
Children will be able to record stories about themselves, their families and friends in their own languages using laptops, mobile phones and other recording devices. The stories can be shared through the “Our Stories” website – www.ourstories.org – where they can be found on a Google Map.
By making these stories accessible around the world, the Our Stories project seeks to promote understanding of different countries, cultures, religious traditions and languages, organizers said.
Elliot Schrage, Vice President of Global Communications and Public Affairs for Google, hailed the new project, which he hoped “will not just encourage better storytelling but better listening to stories.”
