Ban Ki-moon annuncia il prossimo summit inter-coreano
Il Segretario Generale delle Nazioni Unite Ban Ki-moon ha annunciato il prossimo incontro fra i leader delle due Coree, considerato un importante passo avanti per liberare la Repubblica Democratica Popolare di Corea da tutte le sue armi nucleari in cambio di energia o altri usi a scopo pacifico.
I Negoziati a Sei svoltisi a Pechino fra la Repubblica Popolare Democratica di Corea, Corea del Sud, Giappone, Russia e Stati Uniti, a febbraio portarono a un accordo sullo smantellamento delle armi nucleari nella Corea del Nord e il ritorno nel Paese degli ispettori dell’Agenzia Internazionale per l’Energia Atomica delle Nazioni Unite (IAEA, International Atomic Energy Agency).

Ban Ki-moon welcomes forthcoming inter-Korean summit
United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has welcomed the forthcoming summit meeting between the leaders of the two Koreas as way to advance progress to rid the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) of all its nuclear weapon facilities and materials in return for energy and other aid.
The Six-Party Talks in Beijing between the DPRK, ROK, Japan, Russia and the United States, led to an agreement in February on dismantling the DPRK’s nuclear weapons facilities and the return to the country of UN International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors.
