Terremoto Perù: le agenzie di stampa ONU attive nello sforzo degli aiuti nell’identificare i bisogni chiave
Acqua pulita, servizi sanitari di base, rifugi e lavori temporanei sono diventati bisogni primari dopo il terremoto mortale in Perù la settimana scorsa, hanno affermato oggi i funzionari ONU mentre si preparavano a lanciare l’appello per aiutare i sopravvissuti.
Il Coordinatore Permanente del Programma di Sviluppo ONU (UNDP) Jorge Chediek ha detto che la situazione nelle aree maggiormente affettate del Perù sta iniziando a stabilizzarsi, 5 giorni dopo il terremoto. Almeno 610 persone sono rimaste uccise e più di mille altre ferite.
OCHA ha riportato che le autorità peruviane hanno stabilito un ponte aereo con la città di Pisco, uno dei centri maggiormente colpiti, per fornire aiuti umanitari e permettere il rapido dislocamento degli operatori degli aiuti internazionali.

Peru quake: UN agencies press ahead with aid effort while identifying key needs
Clean water, basic sanitation, food, shelter and temporary jobs have become the priority needs in the wake of last week’s deadly earthquake in Peru, United Nations relief officials said today as they prepared to launch a flash appeal to help survivors.
UN Development Programme (UNDP) Resident Coordinator Jorge Chediek said the situation in the worst affected areas of Peru was starting to stabilize, five days after the quake. At least 610 people were killed and more than 1,000 others wounded.
OCHA reported that Peruvian authorities have established an air bridge to the city of Pisco, one of the hardest-hit centres, to deliver humanitarian supplies and allow the quick deployment of international aid workers.
