Il segretario generale incontra i leader istituzionali italiani all’inizio della visita ufficiale
Le situazioni di disordine in Medio Oriente, Libano, Afghanistan e Kosovo sono state oggi a Roma al centro delle discussioni tra il Segretario generale Ban Ki-moon, il Presidente italiano Giorgio Napolitano e il ministro degli Affari Esteri Massimo d’Alema, all’inizio di un visita ufficiale che farà tappa in Svizzera, Qatar e Siria.
Il portavoce Michele Montas ha riferito ai giornalisti i contenuti della conferenza stampa in cui Mr. Ban ha parlato del cambiamento climatico, la riforma delle Nazioni Unite, la crisi in Darfur, Somalia e il Sahara occidentale.
Il segretario generale ha inoltre incontrato le commissioni affari esteri della Camera dei Deputati e del Senato nel Parlamento Italiano, così come altre cariche istituzionali.

Secretary-General meets with Italian leaders at start of official visit
The troubled situations in the Middle East, Lebanon, Afghanistan and Kosovo topped the agenda during talks between Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and Italy’s President and Foreign Minister in Rome today, the start of an official trip that will take in stops in Switzerland, Qatar and Syria as well.
Mr. Ban also discussed climate change, United Nations reform, the Darfur crisis, Somalia and Western Sahara during his talks with President Giorgio Napolitano and Foreign Minister Massimo d’Alema, his spokesperson Michele Montas told journalists.
The Secretary-General also met with the foreign affairs committees of the Chamber of Deputies and Senate in the Italian Parliament, as well as with other officials.
