ONU-ha guidato la ripresa dei colloqui tra Grecia e la Repubblica Ex-Iugoslava di Macedonia
Colloqui diretti tra la Grecia e la Repubblica Ex-Iugoslava di Macedonia su un certo numero di questioni pendenti, incluso il nome ufficiale, riprenderanno la prossima settimana, ha annunciato l’inviato delle Nazioni Unite.
Secondo il portavoce ONU Michele Montas, i colloqui avranno luogo a Ohrid nella Repubblica Ex-Iugoslava di Macedonia il 21 gennaio, sotto gli auspici del Rappresentante Personale del Segretario Generale, Matthew Nimetz.
L’accordo ad interim del 13 settembre 1995, che è stato mediato dall’ONU, mostra i dettagli delle differenze tra i due paesi riguardo al nome ufficiale dell’Ex-Repubblica Iugoslava. Inoltre obbliga le due parti a continuare i negoziati sotto gli auspici del Segretario Generale ONU per cercare di raggiungere un accordo sulla loro disputa.

UN-led talks to resume between Greece, former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia
Direct talks between Greece and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia on a number of outstanding issues, including the official name of the latter, will resume next week, the United Nations envoy has announced.
According to UN spokesperson Michele Montas, the talks will take place in Ohrid in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia on 21 January, under the auspices of the Secretary-General’s Personal Representative, Matthew Nimetz.
The Interim Accord of 13 September 1995, which was brokered by the UN, details the difference between the two countries regarding the official name of the former Yugoslav republic. It also obliges the two sides to continue negotiations under the auspices of the UN Secretary-General to try to reach agreement on their dispute.
